So overall this month has been sucky as far as migraines almost 3 weeks of them with a few days off here and there. I have decided that I have to take things in my own hands as always. I called the Dr like 2 weeks ago and they never called me back. I just want to feel normal for more than 2 days at a time. I went to a party last week and didnt bring up migraine but the hostess did. Apparently one of her friends has them so we talked about it. She asked if I had eliminated Soy I said I had not thought much about this. She said that soy like MSG is in everything and its Soy Lastitate. I admit as of right now I have not done any research on this other than look at labels and she is right its everywhere. She said soy affects a womans hormones and since my migraines are so often hormone based I thought ok maybe i should do this. Well until I looked at labels and geez it's in everything. The thing is if it doesnt have that soy lasitate it has soybean oil used in it. Like one of my best snacks are triscuits yup used soybean oil, I wanted crackers in my soup and again soy in it ANY chocolate has soybean they use it to bind the chocolate..DAMN!! i will try eliminating for a week and see. I looked up all kinds of migraine treatments ect. I have read allot about butterbur extract it has actually had clinical studies and over 3 months had a 60% reduction in the amount of migraines. I started it today I will see how it works. I also had a massage today hoping to break the cycle before my migraines start next week. So new things and we will see. I am reading a new book called the migraine brain hoping for new incite.
